The original “American Idol” winner, who recently turned 30, looked noticeably trimmer, fitter, and more confident as she walked the Entertainment Weekly and ABC Upfront VIP Party’s red carpet after her performance. For the past few years, Clarkson’s fluctuating weight has attracted a lot of media attention, but the singer has always denied dieting to please critics. “I’m never trying to lose weight — or gain it. I’m just being,” she told Self in 2009. “When people talk about my weight, I’m like, ‘You seem to have a problem with it; I don’t. I’m fine!’”
