I got scammed once because I applied for a college loan and some how I started getting calls wanting all my information for that loan. Well, against my better judgment I gave the info out thinking it was the people who I applied with...well needless to say it wasn't the college at all...but someone who some how got my info from that application. Anymore, I just avoid any number I don't recognize. Any more I don’t bother to pick up my phone whenever it reads withheld or even if it’s an 800 number…
