Whenever our family travels, I have one souvenir for which I always look for. That souvenir is a tote case. I have collected tote carryalls from Disneyland and Mexico. I have them from our weekend trips to the coast as well as cruise ships. This one souvenir is always used. No one would think of traveling without one or more tote bags.
Tote cases are useful from the moment you buy them. If you need a little more room in your luggage, then grab a tote to give your suitcase a little breathing room. They fold flat, so it is easy to toss one in the luggage as you pack, just in case you do not find a new perfect tote handbag on the trip. They are a good size for a carryon handbag and stow easily under your seat in a plane. Apart from that, they are no where near as costly as d a designer handbag.
The normal size for a tote bag is 13 by twenty ins, although they are available in both larger and smaller sizes. While they can be made of many different materials, canvas makes a sturdy washable tote carryall.
Teachers can use totes to transport papers home to grade. Items needed for a demonstration can be gathered in a tote handbag so that you know you have everything needed before you leave home for the day.
Crafters will find that totes work well for keeping items needed for a craft in one place. There is no need to search your craft room for supplies when everything is contained in one tote case. They are a great size for three skeins of yarn and a pattern book. I would never travel without one of my trusted tote bags.
Tote bags make great shopping bags. They are very durable and make interesting conversation pieces. They are sturdier than the handbags that are being sold everywhere for reuse and each time that you use them; you are reminded of a fun family vacation.
