My Dad Impulse-Buying A Classic Mustang

Well, I have not been able to speak on this weblog quite as much as I might like, because of how much I have been roped into helping my old man fuel his super nutball midlife crisis. Okay, some would argue it’s not as far out as it could possibly be. You see, the way he played it out was he dressed up like he was Fonzie or something, and come on over to my crib and casually inform me, in his hippest tone of voice: “Hop in, dude, we are out scouting for some classic Mustangs. You better believe it, my boy, it’s about time I get myself one.”

Right then and there the two of us were on our way to a couple of those wild classic car lots that most people are pretty much certain are mob-run, and I witness my dad wrote a check on the spot, for an extremely shiny classic car. I mean, it really is quite machine. It sounded great as well.

I want to point out that I put that in a past tense. It had a great sound right up until it rendered itself silent. The old man informs me that it’s a really simple problem and he just needs to find the right part. The problem is, it may not be as straightforward to pick up 1969 Mustang parts as it was over a thousand years ago, but Dad swears there is a pretty good-sized market for them still. Apparently the surest way to get you parts for classic Mustangs is via online auctions, because you can get them refurbbed and often even brand new. They’re only sometimes a steal, however… I mean, these are thirty year old Ford Mustang parts.

Could be worse, though… He could have got himself a harley.
